Marvel Sells Original X-Men Run On ComiXology For 99 Cents Each
Just kicked in on ComiXology in the UK, heading to the US in around five hours, The original first forty-two issues of X-Men by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby... and then Roy Thamas, Dick Ayers, Jay Gavin, Werner Roth, Don Heck and more...
Having read most of these, there is a reason X-Men was relegated to featuring reprints. Stan and Jack and then Roy really didn't knock it out of the park with these.

I always found it weird that the public embraced the FF, Avengers and other heroes but hated the x-men. If the public hated mutants, why didn't they suspect everyone with powers of being mutants?
