Default Quentin Quire, Man Of Action (SPOILERS)

He's a busy boy this week. Created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, the super intelligent, super telepathic, super disaffected X-Man does a Wolverine and appears in three books this week. And one of them will really get talked about.

Sexually harassing Psylocke in Uncanny X-Force #1? Possibly.

Dismissing Captain America as a fascist thug and threatening to lobotomise him in A+X? Maybe.

Coming on to Jean Grey in Wolverine And The X-Men? Yes, that will be the one. MInd you there is an awful lot of kissing between X-Men in this issue.

Though we do get a little conflict regarding Captain America's mental proficiency, in A+X...

And against a Professor X-brained Red Skull in Uncanny Avengers #3.

Looks like Quentin Quire's boasts of being as powerful as Professor X may have been just that....

The scene with Jean was priceless. Almost made me want to pick up All New, but...not quite. Fucking hell, I do love Wolverine and the X-Men.

Another Morrison character written better by people who aren't Morrison.

Wolverine and the Xmen is great, hope this X-Force can live up to Remender's run.

I don't think it's that he's written better exactly, just that he's been placed in an entirely different context. Aaron's take on him wouldn't have worked at all for Riot At Xavier's, and Morrison's take wouldn't be working nearly as well in WatXM.

    Phantomex- Rick Remender
    Damien- Peter J. Tomasi

Granted this is just my opinion.

    I could see that.

Fantomex for one. He was pretty one dimensional when Morrison created him, Remender's the one who really put his stamp on him. Frank Tieri arguably had a better grasp for John Sublime too.

Well, I had no intention of picking up A+X until now. I do love Quentin Quire.

And the Cap' thing, its just the way its written. Just like one second the Red Hulk is punching out the watcher and messing with Thor's hammer and the next getting his butt handed to him in AVX pretty easy...A heroes power level all depends on the writer (ie, look at DarkHawk now, getting owned easy...meh...)
