Default Marvel Cancels Age Of Apocalypse And X-Treme X-Men In April

Two multidimensional comics are meeting their end in April, as part of the X-Termination crossover, David Lapham and Roberto De La Torre's Age Of Apocalypse with issue 14 and Greg Pak and Andre Aeujo's X-Treme X-Men with issue 13.

Here are their final covers (and the cover to Astonishing X-Men that make up the trptych).

Sorry folks. At least it looks like they are going out with a bang...

    AGE OF APOCALYPSE #14

    (W) David Lapham (A) Roberto De La Torre (CA) Greg Land PART 3 of X-TERMINATION! - FINAL ISSUE! ? The multi-verse is being consumed! ? No one is safe as our heroes split up to fight a war in two universes.

    X-TREME X-MEN #13

    (W) Greg Pak (A) Andre Arujo (CA) Kalman Androsofsky Part 4 OF X-TERMINATION - FINAL ISSUE! ? With the rift into the AOA widening, the only chance might be to step into the void-but at what cost? ? Kid Nightcrawler makes the ultimate sacrifice

Guessing this was due to poor sales.
    How did they do critically?

I think I read one issue of one of them (think I got issue one of X-Treme) and was not super impressed enough.

    How utterly surprising.

Nonono. Both teams will be combined: X-TREMER EXILES.

Actually, it looks like Age Of Apocalypse did rather well, all things considered.
    Data to follow.

That was fairly predictable (and honestly I don't consider it a great loss for the X-line), so perhaps the bigger news is that Astonishing, which isn't selling great either, is not on this cancelation list. Oversaturation of X-books aside, I'm glad of that.

And what I want to know--Rich, where are you getting these solicits? I expected them Tuesday, and I'm dyin' here!

Regarding the numbers, seems like around 20.000 units is still the point at which books will be cancelled by Marvel normally.

While you are cancelling. Cancel 2/3 of your X-Men and Avengers books, return the price to 2,99 on all regular sized books. And while we are at it, make some pigs fly for me as well.

Blade X and Hollow like this.
Proud member of the "Commitee for reinstating Tabitha "Boom Boom" Smith into the New Mutants team, where she belongs. Or let her join her X-Force Buddies in X-Factor, seriously folks, she's fun and she was member of Nextwave."
Or short: CRTBBSINMtwbOljXFBXFsff and she was a member of Nextwave.
Sorry, this last part can't be shortened.
CRTBBSINMtwbOljXFBXFsff does also mean "Aldebaraanic slime slug" in the Betelgeuse system.
