    Because he is an Avenger, everything bad he did would have been ignored and he will be back to being loved in the first issue of his next books.

    I hope Marvel does a decent "What If....?" story (with art) and has something like this happen. "What if the Phoenix choose the Avengers?" I'll admit I'd pick up the book. Be interesting to see Captain America's version of Justice and "The American Way" amplified a 1,000 fold and given the power to change what he sees as wrong. Might have to reread AvsX and see who else was with Cap at the moon to see who else would of been chosen.
