Default How Black Panther Feels About The Rest Of The New Avengers (SPOILERS)

The comic begins with Black Panther's exit from the original arrangement of the Illuminati back in the New Avengers: Illuminati series. And there's where we are now. Black Panther having to deal with an intergalactic threat to the planet on his own.

And maybe, just maybe, seeing the benefit of the deal once offered him.

And for a king, having to swallow his pride.

    But it doesn't come easily.

Here, in New Avengers #1, out today, referencing that flashback scene in Avengers #1, is how he really feels about his fellow members...

Comics courtesy of Orbital Comics, London. Currently enjoying a half price sale!

And save me from dead bald guys. (Too soon?)

The concept is interesting enough, though what is Black Panther doing as a member or are they just letting in anybody who is a head of state( and if that is the case can we get DooM?)

Reed... Namor... Black Bolt... Black Panther... Hickman just can't let the Fantastic Four go.

That's OK. We'll discover by issue #4 that Wakanda has secretly been manipulating the history of Atlantis, Attilan, and Kamar Taj as part of the secret doctrine of the TRUE Panther God, who has nothing to do with any other Panther God appearance, but is part of an ancient cult going back to the pre-Cataclysm era.

It was a good issue, but perhaps too slow of a start.

Say what you want about Bendis, but he seems to understand better than any other Marvel writer that the first issue of a run has to be big and fast and exploding stuff, since you probably will never have as much readers afterwards.

Was that supposed to be funny?
To be or not to be. That's not really a question.

Not really. Just sort of snarky.

You are aware Hickman wrote this, right?

So, the Illuminati is now Reed Richards, Dr. Strange, someone from the Inhumans (Black Bolt? Thought he was dead) and Daimon Hellstrom (the devil himself)? Or is that supposed to be Stark arriving by Quinjet?
    Traveling.

Hickman brought Black Bolt back so he could fulfill his secret destiny to lead a universal Inhuman empire with his five wives (I'm not kidding). The "devil himself" is Namor.

    Ha ha

So Cyclops gets demonized and tormented by his closest friends for getting forcibly drugged on inevitable cosmic firebird and killing a hubris-dude in self defence, Namor gets promoted to Super-Bildenburg in spite of finally pulling off genocide?

Fuuuuuuuuuuck AvX had such an infuriatingly stupid perspective on guilt, causation and minority rights and it's never gonna stop
