Which would seem to indicate, for anyone actually paying attention, that he is not actually an acolyte of Rand. Contrary to popular soundbytes, there are very vew acolytes of Rand in the Tea or Republican parties, though there do seem to be many who takes some parts of Rand's philosophy as part of their influence.

I don't know Ian. I'm sure he and a couple guys in Texas just read X-Men to prove to themselves they can rebel against the crowd. There are probably a few others. Then come Election Season and they put out the Republican signs on the lawn and vote straight party Republican ticket and go back to reading X-Men. One of these years the party will crack down and he'll have to give up reading the book regretfully to maintain conformity. It's a sad direction polictics takes. It's ok Allen, Cyclops will forgive you.

Actually, Ian, halfmadjesus has PMed me about my fat ass in a loving way. Way too lovingly actually. And far too frequently. halfmadjesus has composed sonnets about my ass' firmness, its pleasing shape, and all the things he would like to do with it (and to it). His obsession and fixation over my posterior has passed well beyond the "creepiness zone" and into "needs-professional-help territory." I really wish he'd stop. And, seriously, halfmadjesus, those sketches you keep including? They're VERY disturbing. Quit it.

Yeah, there's no silly, blinding ideology present here at all.

These guys are not hungry. Commenting that a Romney presidency is somehow going to force you to have to move out of the country when you're already pretty much set in life is laughable on its face. There are lots of actually hungry creators out there who would appreciate having your job. So my point is: how about STFU, do your dream job, and try not alienating over half your audience who don't see things the way you do politically. Or, go where your mouth takes you and actually move, already.
So the only reason a person can have a large posterior is through a character flaw? Can't say I agree with that.

To be fair, it might have been speeches like this one that gave folks that impression:

“I grew up reading Ayn Rand, and it taught me quite a bit about who I am and what my value systems are and what my beliefs are. It’s inspired me so much that it’s required reading in my office for all my interns and my staff.”

Mind you Ryan is also a devote Catholic (which is not a very Ayn Randian thing to be), so maybe he'd prefer to be on the cover of another MarvelTM superhero comic: 'Pope John Paul II'.
I continue to be impressed with people who like to point to that one-shot comic Marvel did way back in the early 80s and poke fun at it. It's actually not a bad read, really.

No doubt, but that hardly speaks to acolyte. I could say the same thing, and I am certainly no acolyte. While I think she summed up certain ideas brilliantly, I also believe that "insanely stupid" would be a charitable description for some of her other ideas.
