The politician I want to see on a comic cover is Lord McAlpine and friends receiving the attention of Judge Dredd

You'd imagine that Paul Ryan - an acolyte of Ayn Rand - would want to be associated with 'Spider-Man', the creation of another acolyte of Ayn Rand.

Mind you Ryan is also a devote Catholic (which is not a very Ayn Randian thing to be), so maybe he'd prefer to be on the cover of another MarvelTM superhero comic: 'Pope John Paul II'.

    2. Obama being elected as president was a major historical event that Marvel used to make a boatload of money off of.
    You are -as usual -wrong.

The Obama thing happened because he gave an interview to a British paper saying he was a big Spidey (and Conan) fan and had quoted the character more than once. All candidates should do the same.

And later, thanks to my little comment:

Rachel Maddow will bang Rush Limbaugh before Marvel makes a Romney/Spidey issue.

I know you think you're making some sort of dull headed point, but those two posts don't contradict each other.

So, there's no contradiction in you telling Blade he was wrong to claim it was done to drum up sales, and then you making much the same statement?

I must be dull-headed, as you so cogently state. Because the only explanation I can see is blatant trollery on your part, and someone as polite as you would never stoop to such depths...

    Then again....

(Where did you get "you scare me" from my posts anyway?)

Yes, of course, Lots of people are Marvel fans. Few are public figures we can legally use on covers.
Granted. However, you could always ask for their permission. I'm pretty sure that the celebrity's I listed wouldn't object to appearing in a Marvel comic if you asked them.

Even fewer were elected President when I was editing.
Fair enough. That being said, I'm pretty sure that if McCain was a huge Spidey fan and was elected president that you guys wouldn't have put him on the cover of ASM.

I was there, so I know what happened. You, on the other hand, live in a message board-ian fantasy world and are quite possibly a danger to yourself.
Why Wacker, I didn't know you cared.

If that "comic store" you worked in really existed, your boss would have his hands full.

My boss (as well as my shop's manager) would be the first people to admit that I am loveable jackass. I, OTOH, proudly admit that I am an unintentionally arrogant jackass.
