    Default Region Free DVD player

I wanna start off by saying I understand this maybe skirting the lines of Legality, so if there is any question of that please feel free to delete this thread.

I'm looking to crack the region encoding on my DVD player so I can stop downloading and start buying dvd's of the shit I love that's not available here in the States on region 1 yet (Fast Show, Boosh, DarkPlace, Skins, etc etc).

Problem is, my dvd/vcr combo is a Magnavox MWD2206 (which is actually made by Funai) and it needs a ISO disc to upgrade the firmware to Region Free encoding.

    Any help would be appreciated.

...Go do a Google for the ISO update disk, get all the specs for it, then do a Pirate Bay searchfor the disk. Odds are it will show up, and all you'll need to do is to download, rip and burn.

...note also that some cheaper DVD drives don't use firmware, but use trace leads on the circuit boards. Cut through all but one, and you've got one region support. jumper them all, and you're Region "0". Again hunt around on Google for DVD and region coding, and you'll find a few sites on how to get around the bullshit region coding.

Thanks man. I have a master list type thing of DVD players and the coding to crack them so I've been tempted to go buy a simple $30 dvd player or something, but if I can do all this for free, might as well try you know.
