Skimming through the thread, nothing disturbing about it. They just removed stuff that had nothing to do with the discussion at hand. (Truthfully, I expect your post and this reply will also soon be gone.) Which the mods had said from the beginning they would do.

If you want your "Gail Simone is a meanie who banned me" posts to remain undeleted, why don't you start a thread about that. Dollars gets you donuts that those posts won't be deleted.

I understand. I don't have to like it but I understand. I find censorship disturbing. As a YABS supporter you obviously don't. I'm OK with that too.

...Actually, I recommended that he start a more generic thread regarding moderators who allow their power to corrupt them, and how certain creators abuse the system themselves by demanding critics be censored or they'll huff and puff and go somewhere else. If Glenn's not willing to do so, I'm tempted to do it myself.

And no, it wouldn't be a thread dedicated just to slamming particular moderators for abusing power, but to try and get a better understanding of why this happens. Of course, examples would have to be given in order to be dissected, but that's how research works. Sometimes you have to break a few omelets in order to get a few eggs...

a) I don't see censorship in this instance, since 1) nobody is stopping you to start threads about the things that you consider relevant and 2) Rich made it clear even before you started posting here that he wouldn't tolerate thread drift in this particular thread, so if you had started another thread on how Gail Simone censors posters, nobody would have stopped you and nothing would have been deleted. Your freedom of speech was not compromised in the least.

b) How do you get the idea that 1) I'm a YABS supporter and 2) for censorship? Just because I disagree with you?

c) You need to remind yourself that the world doesn't revolve around you and your grudge matches. Your postings start to remind me of Cato's speeches.

At the very least, it will a) drastically reduce the thread drift here and b) probably provide some entertainment value. Glenn is beginning to remind me why this is the only comics forum I participate in.

I was banned for disagreeing with Gail. Its not a small club.

Bullshit, no one has every been banned from my board for disagreeing with me. You have to be an amazing jerk to be banned, and yes, it is a small club. In ten years of having a message board, I have banned maybe three people (none for disagreeing with me) and asked a few more to leave voluntarily.

The mods have banned a few more on their own. Try being a dick to the mod at any other creator forum and see what happens.

Glenn is a liar. I have never, ever, not once, censored or altered a poster's post.

Not once. I have had every kind of troll say every kind of rotten thing about me on my board and I have never deleted one such post.

Sorry, Glenn. But being a liar hardly helps your case. If it makes you feel better, I guess keep going with it.
