    Default How Do You Compute?

I am curious as to how you bleeders are actually setup, for your main house PC. If you use two, then choose your favourite, if you can't choose ... I don't care.
If you dual-boot, choose the most common OS, if you can't choose ... I don't care.

    Tell me!

Straight off the shelf, I do nothing beyond surfing the web, using office programs and email - a bog standard box does everything I need to do. Indeed, I spend almost as much on my office chair as my PC (since the chair does more for my health long-term as my pc...)

It's weird, I'm starting to realise this.
Why do I need all the fancy shit I have, when I barely EVER use it.

That said, it IS nice when I do.

How do you find it on Ubuntu?

I tried their netbook release on my Sammy and it ran twice, and never again ... I thought it was supposed to be easy?!

    I'd expect more.

I think it's only Dell that sells more computers than Apple in the world.
(This would stand to reason, as they have higher specced machines, with better warranties, and cheaper prices at all levels ... but pretty they ain't)

i suppose i haven't got a clue about these things but here in Greece you don't see many people with Macs ... most people don't even know there is a difference. They would expect a Mac running Windows for example.

A quick poll among the people i deal with as friends/relatives/acquaintances we would get more than 70 PC/Laptops (give or take) and 1 Mac (the guy is a DJ and he tells me a Mac is more useful in that department.)

anyway ... that's my microverse over here .... no serious conclusions can be made from what i say.
