It was the comic book that launched The Walking Dead's Charlie Adlard's career in the nineties. It also launched my first comics parody success. And now The X-Files comic is starting anew at IDW. Reprinting the long running Topps series and the more recent Wildstorm short run in a series of collections, and then kicking off a new monthly X-Files series from June. That series will take place immediately after the second X-Files movie.
How many seconds until we get a Mars Attacks The X-Files cover then?
I remember estaticly buying those back in the day. When I found Walkng Dead changed artists on the second trade, having nabbed the first four and then jumped to ussues, I was sad to see Moore peave but also glad to see Adlard again. And let us not forget that John Rozum did some weiting chores on the series too. And cover artist Miriam Kim was awesome. I even got a poster of one of the covers in addition to the ones I had from the show back in the day. X-Files was a major Staple in my diet like Star Trek TNG and Baman:TAS.
I was a fan of the Topps series for awhile back in the mid 90's. I think I might get the collections, see if it holds up, and then if it does go forward with the new IDW series. Not a bad thing here at all, and as long as it's good I'll do it.
