I guess IDW could be happy with all the creators, saw a way to salvage things by getting Lee on this new project sooner than planned before he could walk off, and such an amicable resolution for what was heading for a walk off would explain why no one still on teh project harbors any ill will...

Well, after following that link I've just spent a very enjoyable half hour or so trawling 'The V' (I'd never heard of it before, seems like a forum for creators to go and moan... sorry, vent their spleens). Some very enlightening stuff there! Cheers!

But spoiled slightly by one of those smug cunts posting an example they'd found of a Salvador Larroca panel of a little girl, seemingly encased in stone, which was copied from a google image result.

Well, big fucking deal. The original poster even answered his own question:"I know your deadlines are punishing, but really...". Yup, as a freelance illustrator myself, I know that deadlines aren't just punishing, they're insane. And I use reference all the time.

Can we please have a moratorium on non-artists pulling a reference image off the net and proclaiming, with that horrible smugness of theirs, "Look what I've found! Look what I've found!". You really have no idea at all. And you're a cunt.

Besides, you do realise that if we're going the whole hog and proclaiming artists using reference to be the work of The Devil / Lazy (my personal fave, that!), etc, I guess we'd better burn the collected works of Norman Rockwell, Drew Struzan, Tim Bradstreet and the like.

    Rant over. Normal service resumed.

It wasn't just reference, but we had this talk, ad nauseam, on these boards.

Tony Lee writes the best Doctor Who comics I've read since the days of the Eighth Doctor strips in DWM...it's a shame he won't be on this mini-series to the end. That said, I'm thrilled that he'll have time to work on something special for DW's 50th!

I've come to really enjoy reading and participating on this site. That said, I find articles like this to be really disappointing. I know BC is a gossip site but isn't there enough stuff ACTUALLY happening without trying to manufacture stuff? You're better than this. Right...?

Rich Rich Rich... You're more of a rumor monger than Quark after too many hits of Romulan ale.

So let me get this straight.

Johnston runs this bullshit story and its misleading headline without talking to any of the principals involved. I know he didn’t talk to me, and I'm on Twitter, on Facebook and my own heavily trafficked web site, so I'm not hard to find.

Then Tony Lee tells him that there's no acrimony, that our relationship was and is completely fine, and Johnston continues to run the same misleading untrue headline, and follows Tony's statement with another sentence of his own full of outright lies.

    Unbelievable.

For the record, to echo Tony, there were and are absolutely no hard feelings or bad blood between he and my brother and I. Tony provided valuable input on the first four scripts, with good material that we happily incorporated into the series.

Anyone who reads this site should be aware, as I now am, that Johnston will cheerfully run lies and falsehoods if he thinks it will get him a few more visitors.

I just like to know more about the source, who apparently knows more about the situation than Tony Lee and Scott Tipton.

...Welcome to Bleeding Cool. Please enjoy your stay, be mindful of the puddles of entrails and offal, as Cpl. Jones will need them for sausages before Thursday's Home Guard training session, and please, please, whatever you do, don't feed SwishSwallowBallsGone or any of the other trolls around here. It's bad enough trying to keep them from breeding.

That being said, when's the Dad's Army/Enterprise crossover coming? I mean, Archer & Co. have already visited WWII NYC, so...
