Is there any hope for City of Heroes?

Haven't heard much about it since they announced the shut down. I was looking forward to playing it again. Is this going to be the fate of all big online games?

it was shut down? LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH WHOHAHAHAHAH good. i got my acc hacked sooooooo many times i dont even care anymore. I wish WoW would shut down. yea i said it.

I started playing in open Beta and stuck with it for years but eventually it just got tedious. The grind was really a pain and the lack of variety with the mission maps became a serious problem once you had been playing for some time. I had some good times with it and creating characters was a blast but it's time has come and gone.

Looking forward instead to what this year's mmo class has to offer. Ghosts and Goblins is one. Hopefully they bring out something unique.

City of Heroes is still sorely missed by its fans. The DC and Marvel games don't come close to the experience.
