Default Go Swimming With Spider-Man And The Lizard

Is this our best, full-body look at The Lizard so far? You betcha. He's still plastic, but he's standing proud.

Seems that Doctor Connor's lizardification process swaps out one tail for another, know-what-I-mean-alright-am-I-right?

Thanks to Little Bleeder Tom who dropped me an e-mail, saying:
I've been following the slow reveal of the Amazing Spider-Man's Lizard design via toy design leaks on BC. However, at my daughter's swim class last night, I couldn't believe that, in their shop section, they had what was ostensibly a full action-figure of the Lizard for sale in the form of a swimming pool dive stick.

I can barely believe it either. This generation gets Spider-Man and The Lizard, and who did Rich and I have to encourage us to swim?

    Rolf Harris. Look:

    Actually, maybe we win.

So, not knowing what the hell a dive stick is supposed to be, I googled it.

    It's a thing that sinks.

    Hm.

Don't most regular toys sink in the pool anyway? It would be cool if they figured out a way for Lizard to stand on the water, like a Basilisk lizard.

That still of Rolf Harris is disturbing. I am afraid to hit play and being led into a porn trap.

The Lizard... I dunno, I am indifferent. It's not horrible and it's not great. It's just OK. I am still holding out hope for this reboot.

The design of the Lizard is a fail because it lacks the characters most recognizable feature....the reptilian snout that he's always had. Without it he looks more like one of the aliens from V. But frankly I'm not surprised at this lack of attention to detail/arrogant intentional detour from the source material, given the even more horrible mess that is Spidey's rebooted go-faster stripes adorned suit.....gah. Every time I see it it puts me off the movie.

I like the spiderman raft thing. If it were bigger I would probably get one.

Originally he had no snout, like how the original Wolf-Man had no snout until years later, if i'm not mistaken Mcfarlane was responsible for the redesign. I'd prefer the snout myself but it's more like the old-fashioned Ditko Lizard.
As for the spidey suit it looks more like the wrestling suit he had on years later (I think it was in Untold Stories, i may be wrong), which makes sense in context I don't like it either but if by the end he has the black/blue and red spidey suit we all know then it won't be so bad.
