From videogame designer Julie Farrell, comes these screens from a game pitch for the XBox 360 that went no further. And based on the Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola Batman comic, Gotham By Gaslight, telling the tale of a Batman in Victorian America...

That's a shame. Would've been a nice tie in with all the Wonder City stuff in Arkham City.

That looks really good, but you cant really beat arkham city im in love with that game.

Although these screen shots don't really show much they give off a good vibe, and the idea alone would be brilliant.

If they could have captured the tone and atmosphere of the source material, it would have been amazing. In a genre that is typically poorly translated to video games, this one had potential. It's a shame we'll never see it.

I saw this post too late. Anyone know where the screen grabs are still up? And I know Gotham By Gaslight, League of Extraordinary Gentleman (especially Volume 1) and Lady Mechanika are some great steampunk-based comics. Can anyone else suggest some more? Thanks.
