    Default Batman: Arkham Asylum

Thanks to the guys at Eidos UK I got the chance to sit down for a short while yesterday with the new Batman: Arkham Asylum game and all I can sat is wow - the game definitely lives up to the hype! I can guarantee Batman: Arkham Asylum will not disappoint, everything about the game is nigh-on perfect. To compare the game to the Batman film franchise, in my opinion it betters Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, that’s how good it is.

The perfect game for the perfect character. I've been looking forward to this for years...decades, even.

Just playing it through again on Hard difficulty. It's just brilliant, at first I thought the freeflow system was a real button masher, and don't get me wrong, you can hammer away if you want, but there's a real art to putting long unbroken chains of fluid Batman CQC together.

Plus, when you pull it off, it just looks incredible. Videogames have their fair share of badasses, and there's been some great characters over the years, but playing the Bat? like this? It feels like something I've been waiting for since I sat in front of my ZX spectrum playing him in 1986.

The guys at Penny Arcade summed it up best:

jut played through the demo from the PSN and it was mighty, mighty tasty. i'm feeling a purchase coming on big time. I LOVED how it was like the animated series, but in a fully rendered 3d world.

plus big lolz at the penny arcade!
Coming at you LIVE on the tele from the middle east but still missing my LCS, Darkstar in Farnborough.

the best game i've played all year.

if you've got a ps3, and you head to sony's 'home' online chat thingy, you can make your start-up abode the batcave that's situated under arkham asylum.

    it's geeky, but it's cool.

I can't get over how spot on it was. The voice casting was, obviously, dead on. The redesigns were awesome, especially Scarecrow. It reminded me of The Suffering, which was also an awesome game.

I think we need to hand every superhero franchise over to them. They finally gave us a good Batman game (After many misfires.) they could even make a badass Ambush Bug game
