Oh... WOW!
It was only a few weeks back I posted praying for more Monkey Island... and not only are we getting this, but apparently LucasArts are remastering and enhancing the original Monkey Island!
After popping to the LucasArts site to check out the enhanced Monkey Island, I found out that they put the legendary insult swordfighting online as a minigame!
This is going to be keeping me busy while BT reconnect my internet after moving house next weekHTML Code:http://www.lucasarts.com/games/monkeyisland/![]()
I haven't had much time to play, but I already managed to get stuck in a puzzle! It brought back amazing childhood memories; I missed clicking on random scenery and combining unlikely items with no result for two hours or more. :D
I've completed the first section of the game, proving I'm a pirate. It was fun, the map was bloody crazy until I worked it out, and then it took a few more goes. I was a little disappointed with the linear nature of the challenges, remembering the glorious confusion of the first chapter of Monkey Island 2... but then again, I'm sure over the 5 chapters things are going to get a lot more puzzling.
I went through so many circles in the jungle before getting the map (it took me a loooooong time to realize I had to continue talking to the "action figurines" guy to advance the plot), that as soon as I saw it I figured out what I had to do.
The second part is out!
I've been keeping myself busy with the MI1 remake in the meantime - it's much more fun than I imagined. I hope they do the same for MI2.
Is it possible to get a full version over the internet. I really don't like to play demos first.
