Default The Dame To Kill For Has Been Found - It's Eva Green, Retrospectively Obviously

    Okay, it's so obvious now.

Eva Green has been cast as Ava Lord, the Sin City sequel's Dame to Kill Forand quintessential femme fatale.

Frank Millerdescribed the character as "every man?s most glorious dreams come true, she's also every man's darkest nightmares." Okay, not every man, Frank.

There's a goofier, quirkier side of Green that will have to stay under wraps for this role. Chances are, not much else will.

The news came - finally - as a press release which also included a list of other cast members and the roles they're playing.
    • Mickey Rourke as Marv
    • Jessica Alba as Nancy
    • Bruce Willis as Hartigan
    • Rosario Dawson as Gail
    • Jaime King as Goldie and Wendy
    • Josh Brolin as Dwight
    • Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny
    • Dennis Haysbert as Manute
    • Christopher Meloni as Mort
    • Jeremy Piven as Bob
    • Jamie Chung as Miho
    • Ray Liotta as Joey
    • Juno Temple as Sally
    • Julia Garner as Marcy

I'm hoping Eva Green gets cast as Madame Xanadu or Zatanna in Guillermo del Toro's JLA: Dark if that ever happens.

Eva will be better than Angelina ever would have been in this part.

    Acting-wise, I'm assuming. Looks-wise, no way.

Well, at least the rest of the cast is stunning and on point. Looking forward this (finally).

I never really understood the Jolie hype anyway. Sure, she's attractive. But so is just about every actress. I've never actually seen a Jolie movie I've enjoyed.

Eva Green is a very nice choice for Ava.

Absolutely. To me Eva Green is 1000% more desirable as a woman than Angelina could ever be. Both for her looks as well as her 'character'.
ShadowMax prefers Valiant comics. The choice of the brave.

Now now, boys - nothing wrong with either of those two ladies.

<- This guy's pretty happy about this news. I was going to see this flick regardless, but now I'm excited about it.

Okay looks wise and if we don't count that Angelina is getting older, either lady would be great. But I think Eva is best for the part because she's so good at being pissed off. I hate to recommend that Camelot Teenaged King Arthur show to anyone because overall it's a pretty crappy show, but Eva Green really impressed me on that show with how intensely, frighteningly pissed off she could be. So between her looks and her ability to portray super anger better than about anyone I think she's perfect for the part. She'd be perfect for the Barroness, too.

I should add on to this that I don't think very much of Jolie either so I wasn't saying Jolie is my preferred choice over Green. I'll take it on faith that you guys know what you're talking about because all I really know Green from is Casino Royale.
