Default Two Red Band Trailers - John Dies At The End And The Heat

John Dies at the End is the latest surrealist horror film from Don Coscarelli, the creator of Phantasm and The Heat is a buddy cop comedy with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy from the director of Bridesmaids. The audience crossover will be relatively small.

Still, I'm in both sets myself. They're both films, right? Then I'll check them both out.

Here's an adults only, "red band" trailer for each. I wish I could have mashed them up into one big supertrailer, but unfortunately I'm working on my laptop tonight and excuses excuses...

I can wholeheartedly recommend both JDATE and the sequel, THIS BOOK IS FULL OF SPIDERS: SERIOUSLY, DUDE, DON'T TOUCH IT in book form. JDATE goes a bit wonky towards the end, tbh, due probably to it having previously existed in a more episodic form online; TBIFOSSDDTI (that really is the title) is much more coherent but not *quite* as funny.

I have a soft spot for Coscarelli's work even when it's schlocky (hello, Phantasm 3!), and I think that John Dies At The End is the best thing he's made so far, and is a strong move forward from the also-excellent Bubba Hotep. I really can't stress enough how much I enjoyed JDATE, or how much my other half (who doesn't share my fondness for Phantasm) also enjoyed it.

Will see (or get it on DVD) The Heat for nothing more than to hear Sandra Bullock say "MOTHERFUCKER!!".

John looks pretty interesting. The Heat seems kinda standard, but the "ring" bit at the end did make me laugh.

Quick question. I'm relatively new here, but I've noticed that most administrator's links and posts are strangely formatted and many of their links aren't clickable. Is something wrong with my browser or is it on their end?

It's because Bleedingcool.com is run on a Wordpress site, but the comments sections are actually a slightly customised vbulletin forum. There's no customisation applied to the crossposting mechanism that takes wordpress stories and converts them to new VBulletin threads, so for things like audio or video embeds (where the tags are different) or formatting breaks that are parsed differently, those of us on the forum see garbage.

Short version - it's a problem with the site, not with your browser.
