Now Vue have added their screens that means two of my local cinemas will be screening the film in 48fps HFR. I'm over the moon.

And now Cineworld have, finally, published their list of 48fps HFR locations too.

The UK is going forward with 48fps in a way that many other countries aren't. I hope the rewards are evident.

I'd be interested in checking it out at 48fps for myself, except that at my local (Showcase Leicester) the digital projectors seemed to have trouble keeping up with 24fps in Skyfall -- it kept dropping out to what looked like half resolution (I could see it flicking back and forth every 15 seconds or so during the credits, and Silva's introduction was such a pixelly mess that even my mum noticed).

I would've written it off as a freak occurrence, but I saw Argo in a different screen a week or so later, and the same thing happened (albeit I only noticed it a couple of times in that film as opposed to throughout Skyfall).

No non-IMAX HFR screenings are set for Cineworld yet and there's no HFR logo on their page for the film, despite the inclusion of 2D, Real D, IMAX and even D-Box badges.

Can you please clarify this sentence ? Ive booked tickets to see the hobbit at Cineworld Birmingham in IMAX 3D does this mean were getting 48 fps even though Birmingham isn't on the list ?

Some do, but it doesn't matter - you won't have anything in native 48fps to input into it. Well, apart from some video games, I suppose.

What the next step will take is some kind of 48fps or 60fps Blu-ray+ standard.

No, I didn't mention IMAX non-HFR, but non-IMAX HFR. What I'm saying is the only Cineworlds with HFR bookings so far is two of their IMAX venues, And that's it. For now.

So you're getting 24f IMAX, it seems.
