Just from the look of the trailer, this could be just another version of 24 Days Later. I mean, the "zombies" are running, climbing things just to get to what it is they want. Personally, I will consider this World War Z in title only. The book is richer and sticks more with the Night Of The Living Dead sort of zombies. Plus... I never did like Brad Pitt.

I thought the point of WWZ wasn't so much the zombie threat as the human response.

I wish they would do 28 Months later.

Looks very different from other zombie flicks, which I'm fine with. Lords of the Ring-esque almost. Haven't read World War Z so I really have nothing to compare it to.

Err... feeling a bit ambivalent about this... seems like it's going to focus on Pitt's character which is a shame because the book itself had a very diverse set of characters spread over a good chunk of time... Also seems like it's going to be very American-centric which is a shame, because apart from the mind boggling lack of mention of Australia (seriously made me go waaah???) it dealt very well with the how the entire world reacted rather than just the traditional USA=World stuff

If this is some grand telling of the "Battle of Zonkers" story in the book, perhaps decent. I'm slightly miffed they are not using the awesome written point about M1 rifles instead of machine guns, because I just felt that had the air of reality around it.

    I completely agree.
