In the 1980s Nelvana Animation had the rights but then they abruptly decided to make it their first live action film, a decision which the Pinis didn't agree with and they wouldn't alter the agreement to allow for a live action film which they didn't think could be convincingly done. After the introduction of CGI (which didn't start getting perfected until about 20 years ago) and then the Lord of the Rings films, live action is clearly a good bet now, for someone.

The trailer looks like one explicit sex scene away from a very well directed, high budget, porno.

I've never read Elfquest, so this made no sense to me. But there was no shortage of hot chicks, so yeah, I'm all in for more of this.

Well, if they just wanted elves, sure. But having an actual great story can be a help.

On the one hand, I'd love to see the EQ story up on screen.

On the other hand, who knew nuts and berries could be used to produce such high quality cosmetics...

    Cheers

I would say "Boobsquest" but it's obvious that the people living in these woods won't need any quest to find boobs.
