Default First Footage From World War Z Sells The Scale

This footage from World War Z premiered on ET Online ahead of Thursday's full trailer. It features so many zombies they might as well be a tsunami of water. With teeth.

    Or a Sharknado.

Seriously, this is "so many zombies they cease being individuals and become a force of nature" stuff. Brad Pitt better run.

As far as zombie films go, that probably well deserves to be called "epic." Here's hoping the actual film doesn't also earn "fail."

One shot put me in mind of an old Sony Bravia commercial.

Here's the World War Z shot.

    And here's the Bravia ad.

If it had anything to do with the book at all, I'd care.

The audiobook was awesome. Great cast. Not a fan of the running zombies.

This does look to be a case of wondering why they'd even pay the licensing fees to call it World War Z when it's already abundantly clear it's a zombie action movie with little to do with the book. Not excited based on this. I like my zombies squarely in horror, and this looks anything but horrific.

Actually, "horrific" was one of the first words that came to mind, but probably in a slightly different context.

What the hell was that? That doesn't look anything like what I imagined from the audio book. That looked like super zombies. I will not judge an ET commercial, but I have zero hope at this point.

Holy hell, thats a lot of zombies. Not entirely sure about this film, will certainly give it a watch when it comes out, but not sure what to expect.
