Official Trailer For Battlestar Galactica: Blood And Chrome, First Episode Premieres On Friday

Battlestar Galactica prequel Blood and Chrome is to be released in the first instance as a web series, with the premiere episode launching this Friday. In the new year, a two-hour cut is to screen on the SyFy channel and then an 'unrated' version is to reach DVD and Blu-ray.

As you'll see from this trailer, which popped up at EW, the series details young Will Adama's role in the first Cylon War. Adama is played by Luke Pasqualino, formerly of Skins.



As you could probably tell, director Jonas Pate staged most of the action on green screen sets. There's a lot of CG going on, but I was ready for it.

And hopefully, there's a lot of ideas and good storytelling too. It's easy to be optimistic as the script was written by Michael Taylor from a story co-crafted by David Eick. There's form here.

It looks awesome and I'm really looking forward to this, but I've been hearing so many conflicting things about Blood & Chrome. Is it pretty much a limited web series that will eventually air as a movie on SyFy? Or is it a backdoor pilot for an ongoing series on SyFy?
