The Bourne Legacy has been directed by Tony Gilroy, the one man to have played a part in the writing of all three previous Bourne movies, and also the director of Michael Clayton and Duplicity, both of which I rater liked.

This time, there's no Jason Bourne, just his... er... Legacy. Let's see what that is exactly.

Jeremy Renner plays Aaron Cross - joining his Mission: Impossible character William Brandt and Hawkeye from The Avengers in some kind of special services trinity. What a curious piece of typecasting.

Interesting that they didn't just cast him as Bourne. I wonder how much, if at all, this follows the book series.

Since it doesn't have borne protecting his kids, i suspect not much. Though I haven't read that far into the serries
