Choose Your Own Zooey Deschanel Adventure

Matt Groening once praised Danny Elfman's theme tune for The Simpsons by remarking on how annoying it was, that it simply couldn't be ignored because it would jump out and bug you, even in a crowded, chattery room. Later on, TV Guide readers voted it the most annoying theme tune of all time. Infamously, it begins with the unsettling "devil's interval." This is one nagging, needling piece of work.

Still, I don't think Elfman's tune could possibly annoy Mrs. Connelly one tenth as much as Hey Girl, the theme tune to The New Girl. That, I think, is her idea of sheer hell.

So she certainly won't be joining the rest of us in playing the New Girl Choose Your Own Adventure-style music video. Not to say that I'm going to keep playing it over and over again, until I've seen every last drop of footage. No. Of course not. I like being married.

By clicking on multiple choice options you can decide the fate of Zooey Deschanel's house party. Will it be a toga party? Or a pyjama party? Will she do tap, or "The Chicken"? In fact, there's a lot more options than I would have expected, and at least one set that nests inside the previous wave of choices. It's not exactly a Super Mario World level of replay value, but they certainly tried.

Though it's not fully interactive - the "Hipster" level is set to 110% from start to finish, and there's nothing you can do about it.

EDIT: Okay, I just made it to the end of the video, and, like everyone else, am dismayed at the lack of a 'Kill everyone involved' choice...
