Default Will Stephen Colbert Run For President... Again?

The revelation that in the Republican South Carolina poll ahead of the caucus debate that Stephen Colbert is ahead of the current third runner John Huntsman (5% to 4%) led to Stephen Colbert's announcement last night that... he was going to make an announcement tonight. After going to hope to talk it over with his money.

He previously ran for President in South Carolina in 2007/2008, but was denied a place on the Democrat ballot.

Born and bred in South Carolina, Stephen Colbert's show The Colbert Report parodies right wing pundit rhetoric, but is often mistaken for the real thing.

The question is, is that often enough for Republicans to vote for him in his home state of South Carolina on January the 21st? After all, that Super PAC still has plenty of money to spend...

I think, given the chance, any kind of Colbert/Stewart combination would completely steamroll a presidential election.

Can he do that as he has his own super pac?
I rather think the announcement is about the debate he wanted to schedule for the republican candidates.
And when did he run for president the first time?

They wouldn't win a single state.

Often mistaken for the real thing? Really? I've never known anyone who couldn't identify it as satire.

    I have *sigh*.

I also have several friends who realize it's satire, but when having conversations it seems like they forget. They start to agree with the satirical comments, but act as though Colbert does, too.

    It's odd...
