Default 2 For 1 On Doctor Who Experience Tickets

This might be enough to encourage Dan Slott to make the trip to the UK again.

The Doctor Who Experience, at Kensington Olympia 2in London, is running an online two-for-one ticket offer if you book by the end of the month.

I went with the kids the other month, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It uses a whole host of stage tricks to give you an immersive Doctor Who experience. The way you walk into the main section itself, the way the TARDIS actually materialises next to you, the emergence of the Daleks and the Doctor's recurring gag about chicken DNA - oh and the bit where you get to fly the TARDIS yourself. Or in my case, the way my children did. If you like Doctor Who, and especially if your kids do, it's a great way to spend an hour.

Use the code MS01 in See Tickets of Tickemaster, and get 2 adults for the price of one, or two kids for the price of one.

The exhibition afterwards is great as well. I must confess I was ready to elbow out the way any child who would have denied me the chance to fly the TARDIS. Fortunately it never came to that, but I was ready. "Twenty one years ago, Doctor," I would have screamed, "we didn't have this sort of thing! And you were small and Scottish."

I went with a mate a few months ago. We were the only adults there without children!
I have to confess to having broken the rules and touched a TARDIS or two in the exhibition.

I only live round the corner, I should arrange to steal the TARDIS they've got stuck on the roof outside. One for a post-pub night, perhaps.

I went middle of summer last year while on business in London. There were a couple other adults sans kids.

I must confess that when the TARDIS "materialized" my first thought was "can I get into the console room, hit the door control, and dematerialize before anyone else gets in?"

The exhibition after was great. sadly my camera wasn't so.

The adults my age (including myself) were taking the most pictures of the 5th Doctor's Console Room.

There was yet another TARDIS at the British Library near Kings Cross at the time (a SF in books exhibit).

Don't forget the TARDIS permanently stationed outside Earl's Court tube station.
