Kurt Russell, Matt Dillon And Jay Baruchel Are Black Marks

Either Kurt Russell, Matt Dillon or Jay Baruchel is to play "a mediocre motorcycle daredevil and semi-reformed art thief" in Jonathan Sobol's upcoming The Black Marks, while the other two are to take the roles of...nobody is saying yet. There's certainly no indication in Pop Goes The News' story on the casting.

But they do report that Russell, Dillon and Baruchel all have roles in the film, one as the daredevil-thief, one as his brother, with whom he teams up with "to steal one of the rarest books in the world".

I'm guessing it's Russell who gets the glamorous description,* Dillon who is the brother and Baruchel who shows up because this is a Canadian film.

We don't hear enough about Canadian films. Which is to say that I don't write enough about them. I need to put that right. I guess I can start by going to see Goon when it opens in the UK this weekend.

I'm going with Russell as the daredevil, Baruchel being his comical/not so much a daredevil till the end of the movie brother and Dillon as the book owner.

I don't know what a motorcycle daredevil wants in a rare book (just seems there are more cooler things to steal), but I like Kurt Russell in cool roles.
