Hi! My name is Pop-Tart Samson (not my real name). Otherwise, my name is Ozzy Baxter (possibly my real name).

I live in the United States of America. Originally from the Gulf Coast near New Orleans, I re-located to "southern North Carolina" or the tip-edge north of South Carolina in 2006, after Hurricane Katrina. Where there are medium-sized mountains that dismay any hurricanes, and the drawling accents sound slightly different.

I am married to an insane woman who puts up with me on a day-to-day basis without use of weapon. And like any good hetero man, my love for her grows with the years, but my penis would rip itself off my body for something new to swim in if it could. Thus, bearing the cross of commitment.

I have two degrees, one in literature and one in computers. Until 2008 I was certified on all industrial systems. But, since the hurricane, moving, etc., I've fallen behind in getting re-certed and have just been relying on all my other skill-sets. And honestly, I've been working so hard for the past decade that, by Katrina, I was ready for a break from the corporate 9-to-5. Nowadays, I work part-time for myself as a pc specialist, while also managing a local media event warehouse. On the weekends, I sometimes moonlight as a bartender for a local pub franchise (a skillset I picked up working in college).

If you had once asked me what my greatest passion was, I would have said comic books. DC Comics, specifically. But, after INFINITE CRISIS, I fell out of love with DC and superhero comics. I felt somewhat personally betrayed and insulted by the path the industry was taking. It was a unique feeling and not one I had ever experienced by any changes comics had gone through since 1986. Maybe it was my age? Maybe it was the recent events of Katrina? I don't know. All I know is my love died for DC with their firstborn, Kal-L of Krypton. So, after that I tried a couple of different companies and books here and there. Really enjoyed Irredeemable. But, other than that, I think I just enjoy reading ABOUT them now, here. Especially the old-school comic-nerd debates. I love reading those.

My greatest artificial passion is the BBC show DOCTOR WHO. I was five-years-old in 1978, trying to catch the tail-end of my favorite show at the time, I missed it by five-minutes. But, what I saw was an introduction into a world that simultaneously terrified me, baffled me, and intrigued me on every young level. A wild-eyed man, with a shock of brown curls, looong scarf, and HUGE smile, running with a beautiful young lady (Sarah-Jane Smith) from screaming trash cans (Daleks). I couldn't look away. I couldn't understand what they were saying and why they spoke like that (accents). But, I also couldn't escape I would be tuning in the next day to see what happened. I never tuned-out. All the way to 1989. All through the "Wilderness Years". All the way through 2005 to now. I love DOCTOR WHO. It's the single, only constant in my entire life. It's always been there in some form. It will always be there in some form. And that's why I get so passionate about it. Because of all the things in life that aren't people, DOCTOR WHO is the only thing I've ever allowed myself to care for on an emotional level. So.....yeah. That's pretty much the deal with it. I love DOCTOR WHO.

While I drank a massive amount of alcohol in college, I found my one true vice in marijuana. Smoking a joint after a long day is the most relaxing, mentally-stimulating gift I have ever found to give my body. My natural personality is nearly type-a, with a serious drive for perfection in all aspects of my life. That can be a plus in many avenues of life, but I also find it can cause a lot of personally frustrating goals that cannot be reached. So, in lieu of pharmaceuticals like Xanax or whatever, weed is my natural medicine. That's my take and experience with it. It's never given me an issue, except when it's hard to find. Others may have different stories and reactions to it. But, for me, it's better than any other drug or drink on this planet. Period.

I play drums, somewhat guitar and slightly bass. Never sing.

I love to write fiction, especially ensemble pieces.

I played basketball in High School, and can still drop three-points on your ass from anywhere in the world.

I believe in faith, but not religion.

I love a passionate debate that never strays into personal animosity.

I love to curse. A lot. Fuck yeah!

I love shows like THE WEST WING, HELL ON WHEELS, STARGATE SG-1, 30 ROCK, and the first-four-years-only of M*A*S*H.

And due to genetics, I am.....Mostly Hairless. :)
How about you?

This is one of the first boards I've been to that doesn't have a pro wrestling thread. If you think my posts about DC are abrasive and negative, then you haven't seen my disgusts with the current state of the big one and a half wrestling companies or much of the complete crap that is out there in indyland.

I tried to start one in the sports forum, but you apparently need a password.

So, wrestling thread?!?
