    Here are the eleven first class stamps being issued by the Royal Mail in March to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. The first time anything Doctor Who-ish has appeared on a Royal Mail stamp save for this rogue Dalek in 1999...

    Some people on the Doctor Who Facebook page are upset Peter Cushing didn't get a stamp. But if he gets one, where does it end? What about Rowan Atkinson or Richard Grant?

    Every now and then I'll see someone ask why McGann counts if Cushing doesn't, since they're both in movies. I don't know how there could be any confusion, honestly. Aside from McGann being on TV, we saw the regeneration from 7 to 8, it should be obvious. And that's ignoring that the Cushing movies were just remakes of Hartnell stories. Between you and me, I think these people are just being deliberately obtuse.

    Because it's in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the telly programme. You'd think people would be smart enough to suss that out.
