    Default Hawkman Cancelled, No I Vampire Crossover With The Flash And A Frozen Scott Snyder

    From the Amazing Arizona Comic Con, comes the?* DC Comics panel, with Scott Lobdell, Kyle Higgins, Brian Buccellatto and Josh Fialkov.

    During which we learned that Savage Hawkman is cancelled. And that I Vampire was going to have a Flash crossover before it was cancelled.

    Audio on the way, hopefully we'll get more details. ALso, what do you do when Stan Lee is too sick to attend? Bleeding Cool's Alex Wilson writes from Amazing Arizona Comic Con;

    A few days ago we reported that Stan Lee cancelled his appearance at the Amazing Arizona Comic Con here. I was at the convention and all the signings were obviously no longer happening but what was going to happen with his panel time?

    The answer is to try to bring someone else in without actually bringing them in. This consisted of skyping in Scott Snyder to talk over a projector with Scott Lobdell and Kyle Higgins, trying their best to keep the Internet connection from crapping out. The sad part is that the connection did crap out, and it crapped out many times. Snyder would start answering a question but when he started to get to the meat of the answer, the screen would freeze and it wouldn?t pick back up until he was done. When we could hear a complete answer, there was this terrible ringing buzz that came from the speakers.

    I have to give credit to Lobdell and Higgins for having a good idea to fill time, instead of them having a panel at noon and then another one at 5:00. The problem was the plan was spur of the moment and the kinks didn?t have time to be worked out. They had the fans on the front of their thoughts and I can appreciate that but the panel fell flat as fans struggled to hear what was going.

    No surprise about Savage Hawkman of course. I was pretty sure they were cancelling it when they didn't coordinate creative changes with the Justice League of America launch as they did with Green Arrow. Then we hear that Joe Bennett has taken on work at Marvel. Then we also hear rumours about yet another Justice League related book that he appears to be playing a prominent role in (just judging from his positioning in the group shot). It all adds up to no more solo Hawkman book.

    You I Vampire fans need not look to Marvel's new Morbius the Living Vampire series for respite. The first issue was dreadful tripe.

    The "Shadow War" era Hawkman was better than the Nu52 run.....this is a mercy cancellation.

    I want to thank DC for cancelling Savage Hawkman and putting an end to the sufferings of Hawkman fans worldwide.

    Savage Hawkman was bad, but if you don't like it, then you are punishing yourself for reading it.

    Hawkman is one of their more recognizable characters. He's been on their cartoons and even on Smallville. And DC managed to find a way to fuck up something that should have been a slam dunk. Way to go DC!

    I'm starting to wonder if "the usual gang of idiots" should now apply to DC and not Mad magazine.

    I'm still upset about I Vampire being cancelled. It was one of DC's better books. Such a shame how they didn't give it a proper marketing push.

    uhm, same goes to alot of other characters. he isn't even the main stay on justice league unlimited and he probably appeared in less than 10 episodes, maybe 5. He is no way near one of their most recognisable characters.
    His solo has also been relaunched and cancelled several times already.
