Justice League Of America's Flag Day To Skip A Week. Or Two
Warning to retailers, in case you'd created any promotions around Justice League Of America #1 and its flags-of-all-the-states-and-more covers, it will be skipping a week. UPDATE: A retailer now tells us that their orders are now scheduled for a further week after that, the 20th of February,
As well as Justice League Of America's Vibe #1, the launch books of the JLA wil now be published on the 13th of February rather than the 6th. UPDATE: A retailer now tells us that their orders are now scheduled for a further week after that, the 20th of February.
So if you has some media event planned, hopefully that will; be time enough to make amends.
And hey, what better Valentine's gift to give than the flag cover that relates to your partner's state of birth/state of first kiss/state when you both got it together? And no, there is not a flag for "drunken". Unless you inude [INSERT STATE THAT WOULD BE MOST APPROPRIATE TO SUGGEST INEBRIETY TO A GENERAL AMERICAN AUDIENCE]. Am I right?
Gee, I remember when one of DC 52's big selling points was timely shipping. I also remember them swearing Before Watchmen would ship one a week. I guess the mad scramble to save their market share and replace all the new poorly selling titles that were supposed to be replacing the previously poor selling titles is taking it's toll. Marvel NOW is bleeding sales from DC52 at an alarming rate as of the new year, expect some serious number drops on DC books next month. At least DC 52 brought in lapsed buyers, Marvel NOW is just giving bored and disgruntled DC buyers some place to go.
I'm so glad that this variant stunt was done by DC.
With Marvel it would've been
"Exceed your orders of All-New X-Men with your orders of Red She-Hulk and you may order 2 1/2 Avengers #1.au Arkanas covers."
"Exceed your orders of Civil War #1 with your orders of Forbush Man #999.9 and you may order 1 Avengers #1.1³ Texas covers."
And so on...
