Default Charles Soule On Swamp Thing, James Tynion IV On Red Hood - Respectfully We Informed You Of These Events At A Previous Juncture

On Friday, DC Comics let IO9 report that Charles Soule was taking over writing Swamp Thing, and then did the same for Newsarama letting people know that James Tynion IV was on Red Hood And The Outlaws.

For both, we informed you of these events at a previous juncture a few weeks ago.

Well, no one else was going to say it, were they? Here are the first halves of their respective covers.

The role of Swamp Thing will now be played by James Brown.

Also get Rich Diamond Dallas Page's entrance music self high five.

Dammit DC, why are you always recycling old writers from the 90s on everything?!

Both Soule and Tynion IV were alive in the 90s.

I realize the probable fallacy in it but when Marvel scoops up indy writers I think to myself. "Man, it's great they're picking up on good indy writers who play X-Box Live with Fraction and Remender and giving them a shot."

when DC does it I think: "Well, now editorial has some new jokers to pay less money than established writers and push around however they want."

You're probably right. They've been bullying Snyder and Lemire for a long time.
