Default What Has DC Comics Done To Alfred?

Here's a preview, courtesy of DC BFF BuzzFeed, of Batman #14. Feel free to read.

Unless you really, really like Alfred...

Eh, Grant basically did the same thing in RIP. Going after Alfred seems to be the quickest way for a writer to show that Batman is facing a threat MORE DANGEROUS THAN EVER BEFORE!
Can someone ask Grant Morrison to give me a haircut?

The first cover shown here is pretty uninspiring. Why is Thor's hammer on that cover? I like the nod to Frank Zappa on the second cover shown.

You are aware the whole story is about Joker going after Batman's affiliations, yes?

I honestly don't think he's dead(crippled or in a coma maybe), but I'll definitely be pissed if he is.

Have to agree. And one of two things can happen: they kill him, until they bring him back or retcon things again; or he escapes harm.

Batman is my favorite comics character (well I mean, aside from the Flaming Carrot, I guess), but I think after around 75 years of continuously publishing stories about him, maybe the well is starting to run dry.

Maybe Joker cut Alfred's face off?

I'm still wondering if that's the real Joker or someone masquerading as the Joker.
