I read up to 292. I miss 293 and got the rest up to 296 but have not read it.
I hope I can get 293 somewhere to keep my Hellblazer collection complete

Interestingly Hellblazer is also the only Vertigo DC doe not fully collect in trades. They sometimes left out the on or other odd issue in Trades. Else would have trade waited Hellblazer too.

Obviously, it depends a bit on how Milligan ends his run, but unless (or even if) he goes for a Sandman-style finale, I don't see any reason why they won't do that.

I'd guess it was still one of Vertigo's better-selling monthlies though. 100 Bullets, for example, was scraping by on five or six thousand by the end. If Vertigo titles were expected to perform at even low-end DC levels, what would survive the cull? American Vampire? Fables if it was lucky?

Does anyone know how well Hellblazer trades sell compared to Fables or 100 Bullets? I'm genuinely curious.

Obviously they wanted Constantine to have a presence in the New 52 and thought (probably rightly) that the Vertigo series would cannibalize its sales to an extent. But, if the Vertigo Hellblazer was a Top 50 book or whatever, that probably never would have happened.
