Tomorrow we'll find out this was really done by Rob Granito and that Rich was bamboozled.

Hate that Cyborg costume. Makes him look like a generic superhero in tights.

I really love this Cyborg design. It's probably the first good design that he's had ever. Sorry Marv--you're still cool.

That costume would work very well in a porn parody

Yes, I do. Now that we've cleared that up, let me bold the important part of the text you originally quoted because you seem to have missed it the first time around.

He's specifically talking about the next time D.C. decides to rewrite their history.

I'm glad you decided that was obvious, but that's not what he said. As I already pointed out, the "issue 25" part of that sentence most likely makes that interpretation wrong or just plain silly.

I'm sorry... The art is fine and everything, it's just that when I saw Cyborg I thought it was a White Lantern.

His art is fine. It reminds me of Marcus To's work a bit. I'd like to see the pencils for this.

I like his figure work in this commission but it's too little to say whether he should be a pro: I remember a Joe Quesada interview where he said artists need to be able to draw buildings (i.e. mise en scene) and also be well-versed in computer-aided illustration. I looked at his deviantart page and his other figure work is also fine, if a little stiff/awkward (check out this one: JPRart's deviantART Gallery).

I think he'll be given a chance soon, though. The thing is, this guy's basically just starting so we can't say this is as good as it gets for him; other artists evolved over time and got better and better.

Just look at this old Ivan Reis drawing: (lower in the page) Ivan Reis’ Back Pages | Comics Should Be Good! @ Comic Book Resources. Also, any fan of the old James Robinson/Tony Harris Starman series knows that Harris' artwork from back then resembles his current artwork very little.

The only one who seems to get a pass on being able to draw almost nothing beyond people (at least until you see their feet) is Liefeld.

...ISTR that part of this was some idea Joey had about using Sketchup to design the interiors of certain locations - i.e., Peter Parker's apartment, any of Tony Stark's offices purchased from the SPECTRE Line of hangar-sized take-over-the-world-crowd pre-fabricated facilities - so that some continuity could be maintained while helping the artist speed things up a little by actually having less to draw.

Wow. Just....really, really good. About the Wonder Woman thing, remember, if he were actually working on this for DC, he'd have several opportunities to revise that and most likely would. Honestly, really great Cyborg design, and as for looking like a White Lantern...if this were for DC, the coloring would have been corrected. Still, great designs, very modern without being insulting or being too much. Easy on the eyes, simple, yet deceptively complex and really just very, very rich.
