...Well, in *my* case locally, considering that the number of strippers we'd fired from the local clubs in CenTex for shooting up at work *and* using/sharing unclean needles almost all wound up either working for McWormburger or Taco Hell...yeah, it -can- matter, Peter.

1) True. But you have to admit our concerns at the time were pretty valid. And would have been regardless of whether they were strippers or state office workers. It was the fact that they didn't even practice 0.001% of the safe needle hygiene that most diabetics tend to ignore. We couldn't know about the rest of the people flipping burgers and folding tacos, but this was one "danger avenue" we could at least have a fair chance of avoiding; if you found out Junkie A was working at McWormburger #41204, you simply knew to go somewhere else.

2) Ah, but therein lies the problem: those creators who *do* indulge in the self-medication aren't following the proper regimens! Millar, Bendis and the rest of the Hack Pack clearly are overindulging, while Morrison in the past few years apparently has been limiting himself to that roofing tar you Limeys are so fond of. As for Didio and Lee and their former Marvel cronies, there's medication abuse involved *somewhere*, but the exact nature(s) of which are still up for debate...

Sorry, it's just that Rush is one of the few bands that generates actual feelings of loathing whenever I hear their music....

Too right they are, I saw them live a few months ago and they were fuckin brilliant. Not as good as Iron Maiden mind you but still brilliant.
