Default DC Comics To Launch Smallville Season 11 As Weekly Digital Comics

Last year, Bleeding Cool reported that Bryan Q Miller was to write Smallville Season Eleven novels, continuing the tale of the successful TV series after its conclusion last year.

    We were wrong.

He is, in fact, writing Smallville Season Eleven comic books. To be published digitally. Weekly. Drawn by Pere Perez. With the chapters collected into print comics monthly.

The digital Smallville Season 11 comic will begin from DC Comics on April the 13th, with the first printed collection on May 16th, with Clark Kent now as Superman, and the cast of Oliver Sullivan-Queen, Chloe Sullivan-Queen, the Lanes and the Luthors.

Gary Frank of Batman Earth One does print covers, Cat Staggs does digital covers (below) nd... basically this is all down to the success of Buffy The Vampire Season Eight.

And you can catch up with all the Smallville TV seasons in preparation here....

Wow, they've really been pushing these digital series, with this, Arkham Unhinged and the Beyond books. That's interesting.

I wish Chloe was in the mainline continuity -- but this is the next best thing.

Well, Chloe was in mainline continuity till Flashpoint; not sure if she still is.

But anyway, re: new Smallville as a comic, I'll quote Two-Face as saying: 'Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes Oh Happy Day!'

I think it may work even better as a comic than as a show...
"This evidence is purely circumstantial. This was found, stained with blood, in the missing girl's dressing room."

"Why wasn't I told about this? Who's in charge?!?"

Check out my comics, radio plays, and other hero stuff!!:

Heh ... only because there'll be better acting.

Seriously, though, BQM and Perez ... THAT SOUNDS FAMILIAR AND GOOD

Stop telling me how things should be, I'm just some cunt on the internet.
Get up, move to a table without the internet, and do something about changing it.

I would like to see Allison Mack back on TV. But all the Smallville love is surprising. It was on a loooong time. And now DC will be doing the beginings of Superman in this, Action and the JMS GNs, at the same time. Its a bit much.

Looks like the new movie costume. Ignoring that it was the Superman Returns costume shown (briefly) on Smallville.
