Default Superman Unbound Trailer - Adapted From 2008\'s Brainiac Comics

Superman Unbound has been adapted from Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's Action Comics arc, Brainiac. The premiere will be at Wondercon in Anaheim this spring, and then we'll see it roll out on DVD and Blu-ray.

I still find the stylised voice performances of Warner Bros. animated films rather off putting. Is there any reason this shouldn't be played with at least the modest degree of naturalism heard in a Disney-Pixar toon? Or even live action?

Because he is a senior dude at DC now. I've never read it, but the trailer looks good.

Anyone else done with these cartoons?
Dark Knight was alright because the budget for a live action would have been too much, but the rest of these....I don't know.
They just bore me. Took me 3 times to watch the last Justice League one.
I fell asleep on the plane trying to watch it.

While I know it's a tricky thing to do with animation, I think they should at least try to make it look like Gary Frank's art.

I could not agree less with your assessment of the voices, Brendon. John Noble as Braniac has me very excited for this one. And I find the raiding of the cast of "Castle" for Lois and Kara amusing, in a good way.

I love John's Action Comics run. All his stories should be animated!

Johns' Superman run was pretty great. Probably my favorite run on any of the core Superman titles in the last ten years or so. (Not that there's much by way of competition.)

My only objection is that it didn't have a proper ending. Instead, he built up to the New Krypton storyline and then left it to a bunch of other writers to sort out.

Let's hear it for artistic consistency! There's a different Superman design in the comics, the movie, and now the cartoon!
