Default Man Of Steel Also Gets A Little Villain Spoiler Courtesy Of Lego

Just as a Lego playset led to new information and intrigue about theIron Man 3 rogues roster, so it has with the new Superman picture, Man ofSteel.

One of the movie tie-in kits that was on display at the London ToyFair today included minifigs of:
General Zod, Colonel Hardy, Tor-An, Superman and Faora
Tor-An is a new addition to the film's line up of evils. I understandthat he was a Kryptonian who served Zod in the military then wentundercover on Earth.

Could a Kryptonian sleeper agent be part of what Goyer and Snyder haveplanned? Or will Tor-An just be a black clad baddie, walking into townwith Zod and Faora, letting lose on the Smallville locals?

The particular Lego set in question is called The Battle ofSmallville, by the way. Another was called Metropolis Showdown andfeatured just Supes and Zod, and the Black Zero Escape comes withSupes, Zod and Lois.

Thanks to Brick Heroes for the info.

Don't these sets often throw in random and unrelated characters? I know the toyline for Captain America: The First Avenger had U.S. Agent in it for no real reason. And then there's the dozens of Iron Man armor variants that he never actually wears in any of the movies.

...Who cares? The *REAL* news is that the minifig has Supes wearing his red speedo on the outside, just like he's supposed to!

I wouldn't be so sure that's THE minifig for the movie-based sets. They had a Bane minifig too, based on the comics. And yet, they're still releasing a new set based on TDKR complete with a Bane minifig modeled after his appearance in the movie. Plus Batman had all the padding and stuff too. When we actually see images from the sets themselves, I wouldn't be surprised if Superman gets similar treatment.

It's not the minifig for the movie Supes. It's the one that's already out there.

Holy fuck! General Zod? It's about time! I can only hope we'll see Lex Luthor in the sequel.
