Default Okay, So There Is No Dark Knight Rises Remix - As You Were

Just to tidy up a loose end, here's an update on where we stand with the foggy Bane audio in the IMAX prologue for The Dark Knight Rises: exactly where we were when we first started.

Despite original reports that the audio for the scene had already been remixed and reissued, it seems that this is very much not the case. Collider originated the story, and their problem, it seems, is that they ran an e-mail from a reader who got the wrong end of the stick. They've now run a retraction, with comment from IMAX that there's been no remix carried out at all.

There has been a new soundtrack issued, but it's the exact same mix as before, it's simply in a different format for a certain kind of IMAX set-up.

So, to date, there's been no indication that Christopher Nolan has or will ever make any changes to his concept for how Bane will sound in the mix. What happens later if and when test screening audiences start loosing the thread of the film remains to be seen.

I happen to know someone who worked on the set, and asked him about all this in the pub the other day.

He put his head in his hands, and sighed.

    Default Insane Grammar Nitpick

    Brendon,

"Loosing" is not a word. "Losing" is. Other than that, I love your work. Good call on the mix.

Shouldn't that read 'loosing', or 'losing'? It's debatable, maybe.

But if you can't get it together to begin your on-line ID with a capital letter, do you, by your own standards, mmarcella, deserve to live?

But Nolan had no problem doing a completely different audio track for Batman in the Dark Knight which electronically altered his voice so that it sounded completely different than it did in Batman Begins?

Yeah it is. It's just the wrong word.
