Mr. Sprouse certainly has every right to reject this assignment (although I am interested in if he is violating any sort of contract by refusing this). I hope DC does not use this as a chance to chicken out and indeed does find a replacement artist. My interest in the first issue has dropped with this announcement, but I will still pick it up as I have high hopes for out of new 52 continuity stories about Superman.
