Batman Inc, Young Avengers, Hawkeye, Drive Increased Retailer Reorders

Another look at retailer reorders of comic books, both in advance of publication, and afterwards. Second prints and variants are often over-exaggerated on this chart, as this is often the only way they can be ordered. But this week sees Guardians Of The Galaxy dominate - although Marvel folks are still saying it's been underordered.

But it's the performance of Batman Inc that is probably most of a surprise, the comic has just been so good of late, it's had retailers racing to catch up for Grant Morrison's swan song on the title. And the performance of the first issue of game spinoff Injustice: Gods Among Us, even though it digitally premiered weeks ago, has caused a similar rush. More on that later. With Young Avengers and Hawkeye also joining the list, it's refreshing to see quality of comics driving demand and increasing orders.

Of course, we're talking about reorders here - things people didn't decide they wanted until the last minute. How does that compare with the initial orders of the gimmick-y books?

Books that are just good (aside from that being completely subjective) don't get any attention, and therefore nobody knows how good they are.
