    Default It's Princeless Vs Catwoman

The second issue of Princeless seems to have a little bit of an agenda...
"Adrienne is hot on the trail of her older sister Angelica. But in order to save Angelica, Adrienne will have to face a real monster ? jealousy. Meanwhile, another member of the royal family has disappeared and one of King Ashe?s closest allies may be to blame!

Featuring the writings of Jeremy Whitley and the art of Emily Martin, this Volume of Princeless will be sure to please readers young and old.
It is a little like having your cake and eating it. But Bleeding Cool knows all about that...

If by "agenda", you mean Whitley's stated intention to give his daughter a comic hero she could relate and aspire to, then yes. Yes it does.

I didn't get why it criticizes Catwoman. Something I missed? Aside from the ripping the middle of the cover from DC's zero issues, I mean.

It seems more of a jab at Fables, if you ask me.

Yeah, I don't get what this has to do with Catwoman, as opposed to the rest of the comic industry, where the cover has nothing to do with the inside content.

Nothing about this indicates criticism of Catwoman. It's clearly a commentary about the "bad girl" trope and the objectification of women in comics. Catwoman is hardly the only book guilty of the irrelevant sexy pose cover.

...Truth be told, at first glance I didn't think of a Catwoman swipe at, or even of. I was thinking of a Wendy Pini swipe.

Not a dream, not a hoax, just an imaginary story.
