Default Did Jeff Lemire Tease His Green Arrow Gig Via NYCC Clothing Choice?

With Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino announced as the new creative team for Green Arrow ahead of their expected announcement date of November 7th - as well as 52 state-based covers for Justice League of America #1, new books Vibe by Arrow's Andrew Kreisberg and Pete Woods, the previously rumoured Katana by Ann Nocenti and Alex Sanchez - it's interesting to see that Jeff Lemire may have teased his announcement at NYCC. Via his choice of clothing.

Everyone keep an eye on people's T-shirt choice when it comes to Toronto...

Sure why not, what I wanna know is... Katana by Ann Nocenti and Vibe by... someone. Really? Should DC really try to hold on for dear life just to publish "52" titles? Is it that important?

Despite the fear porn being floated about, Jeff has stated that he is on Animal Man, JLD and GA for the 'loooooooooong term'. I'm glad he's staying on AM and JLD. DELIGHTED to finally be buying a good Green Arrow book again. Especially since the past four episodes of the TV show have been so damn entertaining, DC needs to have a great GA book to match up to it.

Don't be silly. These are characters in the new JLA book launching at the same time. They're obviously giving a huge push to that part of their universe with this wave, and these are the titles that will help build it up and expand on it. Why would the titles of the books prevent them from being quality additions to the universe?

Because this is comics, pure and simple. IF the books get words of mouth, IF the books are good, they will be under-ordered, IF they prove to be important.
But then again, when every book is important people will stick with what they know.

Of the four JLA-related books so far:
Lemire GA is a must try. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the artist's work on I,Vampire and I love that Lemire wants to create a book closer to the Grell/Diggle runs. (Obviously to be closer to the TV show.) Hopefully I, Vampire gets a great new artist, but I suspect it's simply ending.

Besides not liking the Katana character from New52 BoP, I REALLY don't like the writer's work. EASY pass. I really never liked Vibe. I'll probably skip that one too. 52 variant covers to JLA #1 seems a tad much, but to be fair, I wasn't interested enough when there was just the normal amount of covers. Might look for the Ohio cover if I decide to give it a try tho.
