I've been wondering who the cover artist was for the jade variant ever since the TFAW offering came out this morning. Thank you Mr. Johnston for clearing that up. (I'm assuming you saw e-mail question. If not, still many thank yous. I can now stop trying to figure it out.)

I love Sacrifice. I like the context of the story and Mr. Humphries execution. Dalton Rose's art is just plain fantastic. It just amazes me that Humphries can get this out on his own. I'm a born again comic collector and if it wasn't for sites like Bleeding Cool I would've missed out on comics like Sacrifice. I ordered what I can from TFAW (The nearest shop that sells it is an hour away) to encourage more from people like Humphries. Look forward to Humprhies Marvel work on John Carter, but I also look forward to more self-distributed work as well (if he ever does so again, given how his dance card is probably filling fast.)

I admit I hated Our Love is Real, 'cause I can't understand its sarcasm, so I was very skeptical when I approached Sacrifice.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find a very good story with original graphic storytelling, and I can't wait to get my hands on the trade. Self publishing may work in the US and/or UK, but getting single issues from self publishing titles is very difficult for international readers. I hope the series goes well so that I can get the trade eventually.

I liked Our Love is Real, but there's not a single thing about this that makes me think I should read it, between the press releases and the variant covers, and the manufactured hype, nothing about it seems sincere or genuine. I'd say it was a cash grab if there was any actual money to be made from making less than 2000 copies, but it's still absurd and has taken out any interest I had in reading dude's follow up to OLIR.
