How Did they end up picking these architects anyways? Aside from Aaron, these guys havent had a book in my top 5 for almost a year, and yes I do keep records of this important stuff. But what about Gillen, Remender, Gage, even Dan Slott should be on there before Bendis, and Fraction. Those guys have put out nothing but garbage latley, and they still get all the event books. It just doesnt make any sense.

You may be shocked to discover that Marvel didn't choose them based on your top 5 list, as much as you wish that might be the case.

But if you want a less sarcastic asnwer, it was probably something along the lines of: They worked hard, handed in scripts on time, said yes when people asked them to do stuff, didn't piss off the higher ups and sold a lot of comics. Pretty much the same way you advance in any career.

Makes sense, their stories just havent done it for me in quite some time. Just wondering why they are picked over other people with, in my opinion better stories.

Now, you could be pedantic and point out that they do not say that it *isn't* Richard Rider ... but really, they'd mention if Nova was back.
I could have read you wrong, however, and you might just hate the uniform of the Nova Corps ... but it's looked rather pants for some time now. I think that's intentional, mind, as a throwback gesture, and as a distinguishing mark from the awesomicity that is Nova Prime's awesome awesomeness:

EDIT: In fairness, the uniform does look *slightly* different to the Cosmic DnA stuff.

    and of course

So it looks like it's the arms (gauntlets, blue instead of yellow, and shoulder guards), helmet and belt.
Actually, when you keep looking at it, it's a bit of an improvement.
Perhaps this is a new Nova Prime, or a temporary one.
There is the pronounced Red Cross on the helmet.
