I know it's nit-picking but it kind of irks me that the owner of the world's largest comic book distributor has baseball art behind him for this message - instead of something comic book related.
If vendors (comic shops) had the opportunity to get their comics from someone OTHER than Diamond, I'm sure many of them would. I hear so many complaints about their service, its staggering.

My first thoughts too were, why does he have baseball memorabilia instead of something comic related.

I believe he is a big baseball fan as well, with a large stake in Camden Yards. (Home of the Baltimore Orioles and his comic museum)
