Dave Dorman has explained on Twitter, regarding his earlier blog post, that he doesn't find breast feeding offensive, just that he didn't appreciate the image being used in a marketing context when he believed the book was meant to be All Ages, that he has no problem now that's it's revealed not to be all ages, and that he intends to expand on this topic on his blog tomorrow, which I look forward to reading.

I'm still not sure what it is about breast feeding, especially the way it was portrayed, was not All Ages, but I just couldn't resist the following.

Because the bullshit, puritanical, fundamentalist, right wing idiots in this country have decided that genitalia or even implied nudity is sooo mind scarringly detrimental to the human psyche, that it is only acceptable in cases of the undead. But only if the aforementioned undead are in the process of gorily disemboweling their victim with express intent on consuming said victim. Because let's face it...anything else would just be plain dirty.

How grown-ups seemingly think children (boys, most likely) will think seeing a woman breast feed; Oh! My! God! It's a BOOB! (Tee-hee...) And it is true!! How many kids (and their moms) are happy when they are seeing a woman breast feed? All of them!!! And they mainly asked their mom if they were breast feed too. And us, "males", are very attentive and touched by this delicate instant of pure joy between a mom and her child. It is natural, it is sacred and no one adult (except the dumbest one) is against this beautiful view.
